2 Answers. Effectively, yes. Two separate bonuses, one derived from the other, and the game doesn’t care about that derivation: they’re still different and nothing prevents them from stacking. The wording appears to be designed specifically to make the Aura work in exactly this way.
Does a Paladin benefit from his own aura of protection?
Technically speaking, they do not benefit from your aura, but the DM might decide that in the context of a combat, the villagers cowering behind you pleading with you to save them are no longer indifferent, but friendly.
